Me and my husband decided we wanted a choreographed dance for our wedding, so as gays do we started taking dance lessons a year in advance. We met with our fabulous instructor Tamas Kardos several times in 2021, and then decided to take about 8 more classes the months leading up to our wedding in 2022. We mashed together two songs with a classic ballroom waltz which transitioned into salsa. We provided Tamas the mixed tracks and he was able to create a choreo for us that captured the emotions of both songs. He's a very good teacher for beginners, while also able to introduce some more complicated moves as you learn. We want to keep taking classes with him! We also set up a small group salsa lesson with him to get our guests excited!

I recently attended a West Coast Swing Level 3 class at Soho Dance LA, expecting a welcoming environment where I could learn a new dance style. With a background in salsa dancing, I was eager to start, but I was met with a lack of basic instruction and a very unwelcoming attitude from the instructor.
As a beginner to West Coast Swing, I hoped for some guidance or at least an opportunity to try, but the instructor asked me to leave the class in a manner that was both rude and unprofessional. This experience left me feeling upset and discouraged, and I feel it's important for potential new students to be aware that this studio may not cater to beginners or those new to certain dance styles.
I believe every dance studio should offer a supportive environment for all learners, and sadly, this was not the case at Soho Dance LA during my visit.
I have never met such rude and unwelcoming teacher in any dance studios and I've danced for 7 years and am considering myself a great dancer that just needed to refresh some knowledge of steps. This was so inappropriately rude! Will never come there and will not recommend this studio to anyone!

I've been taking several group classes each week at Soho for nearly a year and love it! The classes are fun, the instructors are helpful, and I've improved my dancing tremendously. The privates have proven integral in me upping my skill and styling, but my one regret is I didn't start taking private lessons sooner, as now I have to unlearn bad habits. :/ They've created a warm, friendly and judgement-free community at Soho. Come dance with us!

I can’t recommend Nadia enough — she’s super kind and easy to work with. Highly recommend taking lessons with her!

Absolutely gorgeous studio! This space is always clean, smells nice, and has a modern touch. The instructors are incredibly talented and helpful. There is a beautiful bright and spacious main ballroom, along with two smaller studios for more privacy. There are always fun group classes and events going on here. They often bring in live bands, and throw the best dance parties. There is a parking garage that is very accommodating for the space. I highly recommend this studio for anyone looking for private dance lessons, a social outlet such as group classes, a practice space, or even an event venue!
