I went for a few months and realized I’m paying full price for lessons that were prerecorded years before. I told them I wanted to exit the course and they said I was good to go. 4 years later they send me an email saying they just found out I left and that I owe them $3k or they will put me in collections if I don’t pay up in 90 days. I called them and they told me they’d setup a payment plan. To just pay $50 and they will take me off the list. They put me back onto collections and did not tell me for over a month. Now I have two weeks to give them this money. They are dishonest.

Wow. Just wow. Called to get some basic information. Quickly realized this is a scam school like the «art Institute» was (since gone under).
It’s got a similar «as long as you have mo ey or are willing to take huge debt, we will accept you» schools.
I told them I’m not interested… and if that were it, there would be no review.

BUT….these HEATHENS have called me DAILY for months. No matter how many times you say «not interested, please don’t call»…..THEY WILL KEEP CALLING.

Ok… block their number…
THEY THEN SWITCH TO A DIFFERENT NUMBER and keep calling.

Block that number.

They change and call again.

I’m on the 5th number of theirs that I have blocked after telling them over and over I’m not interested.

So I get more calls again…I decide I’m gonna be mean….but now they call….and I answer…
And they don’t speak. I say «hello?» Over and over, and they disconnect.

It’s literally just harassment at this point.

I strongly, strongly, very strongly advise any and everyone to stir clear from/of this company/school. They only care about your money and not the actual well being and success of their students. The Financial Advisors are completely negligent of what seems to be about almost everything. Had 3 different advisors and each of them took about 2-3 weeks to get a simple response from and then they waited the very last week to tell me I urgently needed something very confidential sent in or I have to drop or/restart after already being a full month in my first course. This is honestly a blessing in disguise and I’ll be saving $40-50k from debt. Take ur time and money elsewhere. You don’t need college to learn production. Use that money to buy a step by step course, get mentorship, share your work, collaborate, network, and find internships, etc…

I must express my deep disappointment with my initial encounter during a Camerata Pacifica concert. The experience turned out to be quite distressing. Attending a show at Colburn in downtown LA last night, I found myself receiving treatment that made me feel devalued by a member of the staff. Unfamiliar with the venue’s policies as a first-time visitor, I inadvertently captured a discreet video on my phone, a mistake for which I accept full responsibility.

A male staff member discreetly approached me and softly communicated a reminder about the no-phone policy, to which I promptly complied. However, his approach quickly escalated as he forcefully grabbed my hands, pushing them down, and proceeded to point his finger at me while sternly reprimanding me with a sharp «NO.» This not only caused physical discomfort to my wrist but also left me feeling humiliated and violated as I attempted to salvage the remainder of the show.

In this moment, I feel compelled to assert myself and stand my ground in response to the unknown staff member’s who became physically aggressive with me.

It’s disheartening when an experience that should be about enjoying music and culture is marred by such unpleasant interactions.

There has been wonderful consistancy between the two. There are endless resources that are provided to students. The instructors are all fantastic and you can be confident that they know what they are talking about when they teach – that’s because they are active in the industry! Be prepared to learn a lot and make great connections with both your instructor and fellow classmates (if you do online like me, I HIGHLY recommend making a class Whatsapp group – it will make your experience so much better and less lonely). Whatever you end up studying, you will have what you need to learn wrapped up in a nice little package.

Nice homework assignments and final projects to push yourself, and community workshops too. I love the private lessons and studio time to really lock in and refine an idea with the instructors. They’re all great.

I’ve taken 4 courses at IO Music Academy and it has been such a rewarding, motivating, and engaging experience that has formed me as a house music producer. This is a school for people who work full/part time but still want to grow, advance their music abilities, and be surrounded by other passionate, driven musicians. The night classes and balanced amount of coursework allow you to go as deep as you want, led by instructors that are all patient, kind, and talented.

What I’ve loved about IO is the access to treated music studios for solo work or collaborations, the tight knit community, and the 1:1 lessons where you get an hour of undivided individualized attention to your projects. The in-person classes are 10x more engaging than an online program, and I say that as someone who studdied individually online for 2 years before going to IO. Plus having other sharp students who ask questions and being able to ask live questions when they pop up is key. The final projects and graduation presentations create skin in the game and a sense of achievement that pushes you forward on your journey in a healthy, supportive way. As an alum and an active community member, I can’t recommend this school enough.

This is my go-to school for in-person music production education in Los Angeles. I love that you don’t have to commit. You can go for just a 2-hour workshop or a 4-week mini course, or a full semester course, there’s no obligation to commit long-term. The instructors are super nice, grounded, and talented and the classes are fun (I can’t handle academia sans humour). Almost all classes are recorded and available online to review as well. I highly recommend IO!

Amazing music school! Both my kids just started getting lessons from HAMA instructors via online and both learned so much within one class. Instructors are incredibly nice and patient. Everyone working at HAMA are also incredibly helpful, kind, and fast at responding emails. My children are very exited to continue learning from HAMA.

This is a fantastic school with a wide variety of quality instructors and classes.The school provides classes for both children and adults.The staff are incredibly friendly and encouraging. Ms.Regina,the director, has greatly helped and improved my son’s piano skills.Hollywood Art Academy has exceeded our family expectations! If I am not wrong ,two years ago we were just looking for a music school to take our 12 and 9 old boys to music classes. We picked this school simply because it was close to our house. I’m an adult student. Taking piano classes in Hollywood Academy Of Music and Arts for 5 years now. Never played piano before. Now I can perform classical compositions by J. Bach which are relatively complex.

My teacher is Regina and she is awesome! She is very knowledgeable, passionate about music, patient with me. Regina keeps lessons interesting, finds new partitures that are fun and adequately difficult for my level. She is also very accommodating in case I need to reschedule a class.

If you looking for piano tutor for yourself or your kids – this school is the best school you can find!
