I stumbled upon the Zoom Room in Culver City by accident, and OH MY GOD — this is the best place ever for dogs and their parents! If you’re a dog owner in Los Angeles looking for training or just fun indoor classes for your furry friend, you must check them out. They will transform your dog-parenting experience.
Zoom Room offers a wide range of services, including puppy classes, obedience and agility training, private sessions to address specific issues, and even AKC certification. You can join a playgroup or rent the entire space as a private gym for your dog!
The staff is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They also have a convenient online portal where you can view the schedule and book training sessions with ease. Their prices are fantastic compared to most private dog trainers, and they offer various packages and promotions to fit different needs.
From now on, I’ll be recommending Zoom Room to every dog owner I know—it’s an absolute game-changer!

I am a first-time dog parent and I would be completely lost with Zoom Room and the consistent and caring training they provide.
I started my 10 week old puppy in Puppy Preschool our first week together and we left our first class knowing how to ‘sit’ and how ti recognize his name and a handful of other homework assignments to practice.
If you’re thinking about trying it out- I recommend the discover pack of 8 classes.
Also Nora is wonderful- patient and encouraging of both puppies and parents!
Anne McLaughlin

Truly there is no other place like the Zoom Room in Culver City! We wanted to make sure our puppy was able to interact with other dogs during her crucial 8-16 weeks, but couldn’t really find a place we felt we could safely take her. Then we discovered the Zoom Room. From the jump, the friendly staff answered all our questions and went over all the safety procedures they followed to ensure all their puppies were safe. Not only did our girl get essential puppy playtime, but we also learned so many training hints and tricks that we now incorporate into her daily practice. The Zoom Room is a wonderful place to send your pups!
Gillian Christian

Cookie and I love the agility classes at Zoom Room. The instructors are so knowledgeable and customize different approach for each dog. Highly recommend!
Carol Zhu

Savvy has really been enjoying Zoom room since she started and its a great way to keep her tired and mentally stimulated. The teachers have been fabulous and i cant wait to get Savvy into more agility classes!

I like this place, and would still recommend it. It is very unique because of their activities and indoor outdoor place. Very large space, good communication as far as what is going on during the day activity wise. Everyone here seems great with all the varieties of dogs that visit. I don’t have concerns over care, overall, nor do I feel like there is anything to hide or any sort of questionaboe care provided, which is the most important thing of all. If you are the type to want to see video that’s an option too, it does cut off at a certain time which is understandable from a security perspective. This is unique as well. The location and brand uses Ginger app, which has some issues with the website, but that is not at fault for the daycare, and the daycare is quick to assist and help if you give them a call.
My only issue has been with the not so friendly pickup calls (towards the end of the night specifically). I will not disclose the name of the individual here, but owner/manager, please reach out.
Photos are proof of calls and messages sent out where I had to call to verify hours because I was told by this same employee that they wanted to, «wrap it up». Messages are copied and pasted and this employee is in the business of turning away clients for personal gains. I was told I needed to pick up by 8:30 on November 8 and wouldn’t be able to pick up after that. Then yesterday the story changed. Please get rid of this employee. I feel I’ve been ripped off as well now looking back on it. Really uninviting having to deal with this person.
Your hours say until 9, so at 8 I do not want to be harassed to give a specific minute of exactly when I will pick up my dog. I will pick up my dog prior to 9. I understand phones go on night mode. 9 is 9, not 8:05 8:15. 8:20. I often cannot even answer my phone until just before pickup, so DO NOT call me and tell me I NEED to give you an exact time, only so you can literally turn the light off before I’m even out the small gate. This is not a reminder call, this is harassing your customers. This has twice now been a very demeaning and demanding call. One time I can somewhat understand as everyone has their off days and sometimes things are not said over the phone well. I paid for my time, so don’t try to force me to hurry so you can go home early or rest yourself. Not a one off thing, same person both times. Not at all friendly, not even during pickup is this individual friendly. If employees try to «wrap things up» by harassing your customers and making up your own rules then you need to issue a refund for my stays, and this should be explained and disclosed online. I take my dog here because I am not available, but know I will be able to get him by pickup time, or because I want and need a break to do things, unfortunately I was forced to arrive early to please your employee. If I have any doubt I would plan accordingly for overnight and reach out.
I want to leave 5 stars, but a business that harasses customers and violates their own policy to the point of stealing time, making customers anxious is a definite loss of star.
Michael Nolhan

Buscemi always has the BEST time whenever he comes for play and to stay – treated like royalty, just like he expects to be
Couldn’t be happier with the reception my little guy got at South Park Doggie – Playland (DTLA). He’s already excited to come back for more, and I fully trust this team with his well-being and care. My highest recommendation for others considering a place for your dogs to be treated like gods!
Matthew Waterson

We love you for how much you love our dog. She loves going and that makes us so happy! She has boarded here twice and goes to daycare here regularly. Everyone knows her and are super friendly. They gave us a really detailed report card for her boarding and I know they pay attention because everything they said is true. We would highly recommend daycare or boarding here!
Marisa Cuevas-Koch

I’ve been using South Park Doggie for boarding and daycare for my German shepherd Angelina and I couldn’t be more satisfied with their services. Angie always has the time of her life and my favorite part is being able to check in on her on the live cams while I’m traveling. Five stars!

My 6-month old pitty terrier did a 3-week board and train with Ranch Dog and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for professional and communicative boarding services. They were great at listening to our concerns and crafting a training plan to address our specific needs. Sean is a great trainer, and we look forward to having our puppy come back to do more training.
Parag Shah

We have done private training and have boarded our dog with The Ranch Dog Training and have had only good experiences with them. Their staff and trainers were incredibly attentive to our dog and her needs and worked with us on her training. It’s a long process, but The Ranch Dog Training has set us on a great path forward and we could not be happier with them!
Brandon Kim

We’ve loved taking our pup Kiki to The Ranch knowing that they put training first and really pay attention to Kiki’s needs. Sean was a huge help during training sessions teaching not only Kiki but also us on the use of commands and how best to direct Kiki’s energy. We always look forward to the photos and report cards at the end of each day. Through them we’ve been able to watch Kiki develop friendships with other dogs (shout-out to best friends Stevie and Ollie), enjoy water/pool days, and bond with the staff at The Ranch!
Kevin Somers

I can not say enough wonderful things about The Ranch. We’ve had our dog stay here for daycare days for a couple of years so far, and we don’t plan on using any other daycare simply because of how excellent the staff are here.
Everyone is so kind, and every daycare day gives you a report card from the staff member with pictures and notes on how the day went. You can also schedule boarding and/or training days, and the staff have been amazing in training us how to be even better dog parents.
We always feel safe and happy whenever we drop off our dog, and we always recommend The Ranch to others looking for a dog training or daycare facility. Top tier dog LA location!
Renzo G. Heredia

Been bringing our puppy to The Ranch since she was old enough to begin training. We’ve also used them for day care and boarding. The staff is great and they only handle a limited number of dogs, so you can feel confident that things are structured.

I attended NePoPo New Gold School in August 2024 with Chris and Jaclyn from K9 Logic and had an incredible experience! I learned how to connect and communicate with my American Bully, Ike, on a whole new level and gained so much knowledge that helped me close gaps in my own training! The instructors went above and beyond to make sure to cater the course to our specific needs and pushed us to navigate through different tasks and challenges each day! I’m also super grateful for the continued support from both Jaclyn and Chris!

Our dog Apollo is an American Bully XL breed, which means he’s all muscle. We are SO glad we found K9 logic when we did, because this tank of a dog was starting to make walks more and more difficult with the constant pushing and pulling. We did the board and train program 3 years ago, and it’s safe to say we get so many compliments at how well behaved our dog is ever since. We’ve even been able to teach Apollo more tricks and get to take him everywhere with us. Zero behavioral problems and super motivated to listen and respond to commands. This is your sign to stop searching around and make your booking. It’ll be life changing for you and your furry friend.

I couldn’t be happier with the results of my dog Thor’s three week boarding train program! K9 Logic Exceeded my expectations in every way. Thor is now a joy to walk, responsive, obedient, and under control, which makes every outing stress-free.
The care and training Thor received were top notch. It was clear from the moment I picked him up that he had been in loving and capable hands. He was thrilled to see me, but what stood out most was the pride and happiness the Trainer had in his progress. The balance of firm guidance and genuine affection was remarkable, and it’s made all the difference.
I wholeheartedly, recommend
K9 Logic to anyone, looking for professional, compassionate, and effective dog training. They truly deliver on their promises!

The team at K9 Logic has been a dream to work with and worked true wonders with my dog Miley! She was there for 5 weeks and they were timely with updates and made sure I knew what was going on while she way away. Miley has come back a new dog and I feel well equipped after our session to continue on in her training. I am so grateful to Chris and the staff at K9 Logic and will definitely continue to use them!
Elizabeth Hakes

Chris is amazing! He is a true dog lover. My dog did board and trained with him for 6 weeks and he’s a brand new dog. He even provides free group
Lessons and follow up trainings. I totally recommend k9 logic for all the dog owners. You will not regret it.

All I can say is WOW!! If you want to work with someone who is compassionate to animals and knowledgeable in dog behaviors russ is your guy. My dog was suffering from separation anxiety and he helped us with many training protocols to practice at home. It is also so nice to get constant updates about progress and photos. Thank you for helping me and my boy have a happier and fuller life!
Brooke Reily

I sent my 9-month old puppy to a 7-day puppy bootcamp with Fun Paw Care. She had a blast and Russell was really good with providing video, email, and photo updates on what they were working on and capturing some behavior I should be aware of. I did not know my dog had anxiety and now haver her on supplements to help her with that and calm her down a bit. He provides a lot of educational material to study and apply to continue training which I am still going through almost a week after.
Overall, a really good experience, Russell knows more about dog training than anyone I have ever met. He helped me unlearn some outdated information which is refreshing when there are so many «dog trainers» out there and so much inconsistent information. I would definitely recommend.
Ben Beck

We adopted our German Shepherd, Coco at just one year old from Best Friends Rescue in LA. She had been in shelters her entire life except once, where she was adopted and returned the next day. She is the sweetest dog, but has high anxiety and was constantly in flight mode. It is hard to get her to train as she is constantly observing her surroundings and is hard to calm her down. We rescued another German Shepherd from Russ that he had been training that needed a home and we immediately fell in love with Buddha and he has been a huge part of our family. Coco needed some help that I knew I could not recognize exactly how to deal with and knew Russ would be the answer. She did boot camp with Russ and she loved him from the moment she met him. Russ is very communicative during the entire process, makes videos and sends daily progress updates. He helped us understand the issues Coco had and how to help her grow into a confident, secure pup. If I ever need any help or have questions Russ is there immediately there to answer. Its been a bit over a month and I see a big change in Coco and know as long as we keep up with the knowledge and training Russ gave us, she will continue to grow in a positive manner. 10/10

I had an exceptional experience with Fun Paw Care! Russell is very knowledgeable, patient, and truly passionate about helping both dogs and owners. My whoski made remarkable progress, and I appreciated the personalized approach tailored to our specific needs. The positive, reward-based methods employed here fostered a trusting bond between my dog and the trainers. The facilities were clean, and the staff’s dedication to canine well-being was evident. I highly recommend this company for anyone seeking effective and compassionate dog training. A definite five stars!
Jacob Wooten

I went to Russ for service dog training and I am so happy I did. He is not only a top notch trainer but an extremely knowledgeable behaviorist which is extremely valuable when training a service dog. He was able to identify and even modify certain behaviors. He provides excellent feedback, resources and totally sets you up for success. Training a service dog is a process and having Russ on the team is a valuable asset. After being with Russ she is so happy and eager to learn. She is so attentive and always “checking in”.She is way more polite and even her patience has gotten better. She is a young pup so we’ll be back 🙂 I can’t say enough positive things about this experience.

I had to write this review because 1. It’s long overdue and 2. She refused to go home with me today and hid behind one of her fav staff members LOL. My dog goes crazy for this place, it’s so freaking cute. Whenever we pull into the lot, she loses her mind in the car and she squirms and wiggles out of excitement to go inside. She forgets I exist the moment we go in and she quite literally walks herself upstairs to the room. It takes me so long to bring out of daycare every day that I pick her up bc she tries to stay. Blu is known to be a timid and anxious pup pretty much everywhere we go and she’s actually quite lazy but if you ever told the staff here, I’m sure they’d think I was lying because she becomes the most excited and hyperactive dog ever. As a helicopter mom, it’s super comforting to me to know she spends her day here while I’m at work. We’ve been coming here for over a year now and get a package every month. I know my daughter loves it here bc the every single staff member is wonderful to her (and me!). She is terrified of men but she loses her mind for Alex here, which absolutely melts my heart. I tried a few other daycares in the area when she was a puppy when I had to return to office and she hated everywhere else to the point where I had a private sitter come to my apartment and stay with her all day. Long story long, I’m so grateful we found this place.

They are so awesome. I was nervous sending Bear for a weekend and they sent me photos of her having fun. We paid extra for the bath and she was so soft when she came home. Definitely going back & I strongly recommend them. Their prices are incredibly reasonable too

CageFree is by far the best boarding my dog has ever attended. He has been attending daycare/boarding here for over a year and there is little turnover in staff and I know my dog appreciates the familiar friendly faces. Each member goes above and beyond to make sure my little guy is safe, cared for and loved!
Paige Yamron

What a nightmare! I planned to use them while I traveled. I paid, purchased packages & sent my dog there for daycare in preparation for a longer trip. I talked to multiple staff members, including one of the managers in preparation and when my roommate went to drop off my dog, they refused to take her. Now I am a 6 hour flight away & I have no care for my dog. Do not trust them. They are too disorganized to trust with your fur baby.
Lauren Jarema

My dog was here for 3 weeks over the holidays and I couldn’t be happier that I found my dog’s new home away from home. I was very impressed with the extremely personalized and professional level of service I received. They went above and beyond what I expected. The tour of the facility on my initial visit was thorough, informative and impressive. The entire facility was immaculate, all the dogs looked happy and well looked after, and the amount of friendly staff was shocking (over 30 employees according to the tour). I had to extend my stay due to personal reasons which led to my dog running out of his specific prescription diet. They called me a couple of days before it ran out and told me they could go out and pick up an additional bag for me from my vet without my even having to call and ask. WOW!! I received great pictures and videos throughout my dog’s stay which really put me at ease and let me see how happy my dog was. My dog also got a walk every day and some training to brush up on his obedience. The trainer sent me weekly emails updating me on the status of my dog’s training, which was great. When I picked up my dog he was super clean and fluffy from his bath. Everyone that passed through the lobby knew him by name and he seemed to love them all. They run a top notch operation that has friendly staff, excellent service and an overwhelming love of dogs. Do your dogs a favor and take them to Cagefree K9 Camp.

Leonard saved our dog! We got our one year old Cattle dog cross from the pound and after some time aggressive behavior started to show. Defensive of the home, charging at dogs in the street, snapping of her mouth at anything. After just the consultation there was a dramatic shift in her temperament. We then went on to complete four sessions of one and a half hours each where Leonard showed us how to have a right relationship with our dog, calming her disposition and allowing the real obedience training work to begin. We can not thank Leonard enough for his service and will continue to recommend him to friends.
Benjamin Ellwood

Leonard is the best trainer! This is our second dog we sent to him because of the success we had with our first dog. Both our dogs are very different, so it is a true indicator that Leonard is equip to train all types of dogs. Leonard trained our 7 y/o yorkie to follow commands, walk on a leash, as well as helped with ease his anxiety. Our dog had eye problems and would constantly lick his feet. We had to put socks on our dogs feet to keep him from licking. The vet put our dog on a daily allergy medication. It was expensive and had residual side effects. Through the training, all the health problems went away and he is no longer on the allergy medication. Our dog returned from his 3 week training with Leonard a much happier, well-trained, and relaxed dog.
Carissa Ellis

II brought my 9-yr old, lab-mix rescue to Leonard for consultation prior to boot camp. Within the first 15 min of the visit, I could already see my dog transforming into a dog that I had not previously experienced. My dog had been showing fearful/anxious signs around other dogs and people and I was skeptical that Leonard would be able to change his behavior. During the visit, Leonard was able to build trust and relax my dog quickly. He was also able to point out some of my behaviors that needed to changed in order to allow for a happy, healthier dog. In just an hour of training, I could see a sizable difference in my dog’s behavior.
After the initial consultation, I booked the 3-week bootcamp. Leonard was extremely responsive and consistently gave us updates throughout the entire process. We met together w/ him and the dog at the end of week 2, week 3 and again after the program for one-on-one training.
During the stay, Leonard was able to reset my dog’s balance; overcoming years of unstable anxious behavior… as well as reset the relationship between me and the dog. When I got my dog back, he was much calmer, responsive, and relaxed. I’m glad I took the next steps in the training process w/ Leonard. Well worth the investment.
Ryan Feick

It took me a minute to write this review because, it takes a minute to fully understand the experience of working with Leonard and the after, and put words onto it. My dog has been reactive with other dogs ever since she was a tiny puppy, and was starting to become really agressive, dominant and bit a couple dogs pretty bad, and was even over protective of me with some people in certain situation. It was affecting my life and my sanity. I tried every possible way and worked with different trainers which were great, the truth is now that I think of it, some of them were trying to teach me some of the same stuff Leonard taught me but the understanding of it wouldn’t get to me, they knew what they were doing but did not know how to transmit the message to someone who doesn’t understand. So I kept on making the same mistakes until I had lost control and was hiding to take my dog out and making it even worst. Leonard has a straight forward way to work with you and your dog but really mostly with you, that gives you no other way than understanding through doing, he is a NO EXCUSE type of guy and that is the best way to learn what you need with reactive and aggressive dogs. I went there and just chose to trust him and take his full guidance. He works with body language with the dog but also with you. He pointed at my weaknesses and made me address them, it all gave me a lot of confidence even in everyday life and the way I approach other life situations too. I thought I had a great relationship with my dog, but he showed me that it wasn’t the case, and that outside of love there wasn’t respect, and when you have an animal like those, you need to start with a 100% respect from them to you in every situation. You HAVE to be the leader and then you can be the mum, but always a leader first and Leonard teaches you how to do so. We did 5 private sessions, and people in my everyday life noticed right away how much she had changed throughout the process, not even knowing about the training I was doing. We are both different and are both happier in our life and we are so grateful for that. Is she completely non reactive, no, because that’s a long time work and Leonard gave us the tools to continue this work. But she’s made massive progress and keep making progress every day, and I’m confident and knowing exactly how to stay calm and do the right things and make the right decisions for us to have a good experience. Thank you so much Leonard for the peace of mind, the honesty, the knowledge and the massive CHANGE you did to our life. Sometimes when friends are struggling with their dogs they ask me for help and since my experience with Leonard, those dogs respond to me in a very different way, I know how to lead them and show them they have to respect me, it is such a powerful feeling. THANK YOU Leonard

I have had dogs my whole life, ranging from German and Australian Shepherds to small dogs. I had always heard wonderful things about Doberman’s and always wanted to own one, so I decided to finally get one. Everyone that has ever owned a Doberman will tell you they are extremely stubborn, a little quirky, and too smart for their own good, which makes them difficult to train. How true that is! By the time my Doberman was nearing 2 years old, I decided I could not get her under control by myself because she was extremely smart in manipulating me. I searched for a trainer for several months before I found Leonard with Dominant Dogs, who came highly recommended to me. I had an initial interview with him and he determined that we were a good fit. Leonard does not take any dog; he interviews with you to determine you and your dog’s mindset and then determines if all three of you will be a compatible fit. I was grateful that he took my dog and I can tell that on my initial interview, I knew my dog would be in good hands. I gave Leonard my dog for 3 weeks. Leonard stayed in constant communication with me, providing status updates on my dog while in his company. When I was ready to pick up my dog, I could not believe it was the same dog; she was so respectful and mindful. Now comes the hard part; that is transitioning my dog so that it obeys me like she did Leonard. This is where I was even more impressed with Leonard. He followed up with me periodically after I returned home. He saw me three times over the course of a couple of months to ensure that my dog was on the right path and spent several hours with me each time. I can tell you one thing, I have many friends who have sent their dogs to trainers but most of them do not follow up, and for those that did follow up, it certainly is not to the extent that you will find with Leonard. The «following-up» after training is probably one of the most important parts of training a dog. He made sure I was on track with my dog. In fact, I had many pillow talks with Leonard in the beginning and he was always there for me. He truly cares about your dog and is personally invested in your dog because he puts in so much time that he does not want all his training to go down the tube. He is direct and you know where you stand with him at all times. When you feel it’s not going so well in the beginning when you first get your dog back and you are really putting in a concerted effort with your dog and listening to his instructions, Leonard will not abandon you…trust me, I was there. It has been 3 months now and my dog is transitioned fully. And Leonard was there every step of the way. Today, everywhere I go, people comment on what a well behaved dog I have. I attribute this 100% to Leonard and his tenacity to make sure you do not fail when transitioning your dog to listen to you. Leonard made every decision with my dog’s best interest in mind and I have learned several things about myself during this process as well. One piece of advice I will dispense: no matter who you do business with, let the experts do their thing. Don’t try to tell them how to do their job; they know best. Whether you go to a hair stylist, attorney, accountant, dog trainer, etc. you are paying that person for their expertise; they are the masters, not you. I am so thankful for Leonard and I am so glad I blindly put my trust in him. He definitely earned my respect and trust and that of my dog.

Don’t listen to other negative reviews, dogs can’t be monitored from biting playing too rough with others 24/7 and just like daycare dogs can unknowingly come in asymptomatic of sickness until they spread a cough. This place is phenomenal and the owners/trainers truly care about your pets, we get random photos of the pups learning their new skills. It’s well worth the money, the owners treat the babies like they are their own.

Our DOGS love going to canyon View Ranch…they have so much fun! They take good care of our boys. Highly recommend!

My dog Rex went here for 10 years. He was trained boarded and then I continue to bring him for play dates. They were so good with him. They trained him to do everything I wanted and took care of all my concerns. The facility was clean the dogs were all happy and had so much room to play. I like to call this place Disneyland for dogs. They have their giant swimming pools made out of bones, fun, tunnels, and separate dog areas for different sizes. It’s never overcrowded and my dog is always happy when we show up wagging his tail and cannot wait to get out of the car to see all of his friends, I would recommend this place to anyone wanting boarding and or training the owners and trainers give so much love and care to the dogs. You will feel really good. Leaving your babies here. We love this place.

We are so grateful to Joe, John and the whole team at Canyon View Ranch. Our four-year-old poodle went there for a one month training and we couldn’t be happier with his behavior back at home. We especially loved all the lessons that we had with our trainers and their attention to detail when it came to correcting us for using the proper commands. Our dog never cried when we left so I felt that he was just really happy while he was there and we got great updates throughout his time there and they checked in with us within 48 hours of leaving which was a lovely surprise we all definitely use Canyon view ranch for more training in the future with another dog and for boarding with any of our dogs. The entire property is so meticulously taken care of and so clean and just a joy to visit.

We left our 1 year old Labrador at Canyon View for about 9 days. We had previously left her with them a couple nights to test her. Our puppy is a very shy pup and she scares easily. But each time that we picked her up she showed us that she genuinely enjoyed being there and enjoyed seeing all the staff. She is a dog that makes it clear when she does not like people or experiences by running away and hiding, and I have to say that I was nervous to leave her, but she really did amazing each time! For her most recent, longest stay we also did training for her and they really did teach her a lot! And it was all important lessons that will help to keep her safe. Like i previously mentioned, she is a shy pup so she really made them work to let them get close and understand her to train her. Canyon View gave me peace of mind and now I have somewhere safe to leave my little girl, and I know that she will enjoy her time there, learn something and be under good care!

iSaid Sit is the best! The staff and Elisha are amazing! They were patient, helpful and so knowledgeable when it came to working with my fear aggressive dog. I could not take her to a traditional daycare, had no place to board her when we went out of town and little guidance on how to train her until iSaid Sit. They were well worth the investment for my dog and our family!

My boy Yoshi and I have been coming to I Said Sit for almost 10 years now. Yoshi has had aggressive tendencies in the past but the staff were able to handle him without any issues. Yoshi loves coming here and this is the only daycare / boarding I trust to take care of him when I can’t be around. Our lives would have been so difficult without you. Thank you so much.

One of the best decisions we made when we adopted Blackie and Biscuit was to go to I Said Sit for puppy daycare training. At the time, although I had owned companion dogs all my life, I really knew very little about dog training and nothing about positive methods of training. Our experience over the years with Elisha and her entire team has been nothing but positive — for us as well as the dogs! Also, thanks to Elisha and I Said Sit for introducing me to the world of dog sports, including agility and nose work!
Susanne Howarth

I highly recommend I Said Sit. We loved our experience so much we started with puppy classes and progressed to 1:1 training and eventually ongoing daycare. We can’t thank the team and our dog’s trainer, Marlen, enough for their consistent commitment to my dog’s training, confidence, and overall wellbeing. I have seen my dog make such great strides in his behavior working with Marlen. We will definitely be continuing our dog’s education and daycare here!

I’ve sent both my puppies; Ted Baxter and Liz Lemon to «I Said Sit» School for Dogs where they learned their basics, good manners, crate training and general fun. Anyone with a new dog should chat with the team to see if their program is right for you. It made my relationship with both my dogs stronger. You learn right along side them!

Michael was fantastic with our dogs. He is very knowledgeable, helpful and extremely patient. Our two German Sheppard mixes loved him and by the end of their first lesson they were like whole new pups on their leashes! Excited to keep practicing what he taught us!

Wow. I cannot thank Michael enough for how he helped me and my rescue, Clark. Clark had moderate to severe fear-based reactivity to new people and severe excitement-based reactivity to dogs. Although it was not an overnight miracle, he has completely changed for the better with constant reinforcement of Michael’s techniques. We have had two full-day sessions and Clark can now meet new people (including in elevators!!) while remaining calm. I still have to be semi-vigilant so that he is never surprised (turning corners carefully) but overall I feel so much relief compared to how he was before. Michael sent constant video, text, and photo updates throughout the day and let me know what they were working on. At the end of the day, he spent an hour training me on how to reinforce Clark’s positive behaviors. He was very clear and explained the reasoning behind every method. The proof is in the pudding. Clark is now a joy to walk and new people pet him without issue. The most valuable part is when he had strangers approach Clark (muzzled and leashed) who did not run away when he reacted. This broke the cycle of reinforcing bad behaviors. I am so grateful for Michael and his family for their help!

As we came out of the pandemic, we noticed that our Frenchie had become very aggressive towards other dogs and passers by. His aggression escalated when we took him camping, and he snapped at some of our friends. Michael was referred to us by a local rescue group who uses him to work on hard to adopt cases. He worked with Duke, and us, and we saw improvements after just one visit. We implemented his advice during our training walks and have continued to take Duke several times per week for training. We can now walk by strangers and dogs without having the embarrassment of his reactive behavior. We highly recommend Michael and his gentle/calm way of training dogs!
Max Regis

We sent our two dogs to Michael for a day of training with him. He provided video updates with training tips addressing each of our behavioral concerns, which has been helpful to revisit as we continue working with the dogs. He is good at assessing the personality and behavior of different dogs and tailoring that approach to suit their individual needs. At the end of the day, he spent an hour with us walking through the training and answering all of our questions. We have seen a considerable improvement in their behavior! I highly recommend Michael if you want to assess any concerns with your dog.
Joanna Grant

I can’t recommend the LA Dog Behaviorist enough! I took my 3-year-old dog Ziggy to see Michael shortly after relocating to Glendale from Chicago. Ziggy is an Australian Cattle mix who was struggling with some territorial and aggressive tendencies toward other dogs. She would also bark at the door when neighbors would pass. From the first day Michael worked with Ziggy, I was amazed at how receptive she was to the training. Part of that I realized was my own behavior and ways I had been enabling some of her fearful behaviors.
Michael also worked with us to develop a plan that worked for our budget. The free group leash walks he organized on Saturdays were so helpful. Ziggy’s behavior on walks and when guests come over has improved so dramatically since working with Michael. I really can’t thank him enough!
