Laura is one the most creative and talented dance teachers. On our very first dance lesson, she surprised us by creating an unforgettable dance routine for our wedding’s first dance on the spot while listening to the song for the first time. The dance was to the dramatic song “Writings on the Wall” by Sam Smith. She incorporated ballroom dance moves, beautiful lifts, and spins. Our wedding guests loved it! I would recommend Laura to any couple wanting to do private dance lessons for their first dance. It was one of the highlights of our wedding.

I went by the studio and the Culver city location was closed but the website shows the studio is open. I called the list number on the website and the gentlemen didn't have any phone etiquette, unprofessional, and willingness to assist. I was disappointed but I'm glad I had this experience.

Love, Love, Love this place--- the best escape from work and stress... especially the Casino (Salsa) Rueda!!! Come and join the fun every Saturday at 3:30pm-- just for an hour, try it!! I'm sure you'll love it!! But, truly, whatever class you take, I'm also sure you'd feel like you are in 'another world'. 🙂 For me, being at By Your Side is ... where my 'other life' begins. 🙂 Whatever level you are in dancing (or even no level at all), you will find this studio very welcoming. Their skilled instructors (ALL award-winning personalities in their own right), personalized approach, and vibrant nurturing yet relaxed culture make them a standout choice for anyone seeking to prepare for a special occasion, improve technique, or simply just have fun. Their teaching style truly fosters an environment where one can achieve their own personal dance aspirations, whatever they may be. They offer a wide range of classes from social to competitive levels, themed dance nights, and opportunities for performance. If only I could attend all of them, I would!!

Amy gave us fun lessons where we learned the waltz for our wedding. She provided exciting personal choreography for our song. We had a great time practicing and learning the steps. The studio is close by and has multiple rooms for various lessons. Can't wait to try some group lessons and dance more!

I love this studio!! I’m in my mid-forties and I’ve never danced in my life. I was very nervous about starting a new class and thought I might be with students that had a dance background and I’d be in over my head. I started taking tap dancing there and I am loving it. The instructor is so encouraging and positive and very sweet. The other student are so friendly- we’re all at different levels and that doesn’t matter. There are adults of all ages in class, and I can keep up and I don’t feel out of place. I absolutely love the experience I’m having there and I look forward to every class. I’m also getting a great workout while I’m having fun.
