I’m lucky enough to live in Los Angeles where talented artists are practically everywhere, both in front of AND behind the scenes of Hollywood. It’s easy to balk at the glitz and glamor of celebrity around here, feeling unworthy of camera attention if you’re not a star of some kind. Enter Aaron— one of those special gems of an artist who is sought after by A-listers, yet makes regular ol’ folks like myself feel equally worthy to be in front of his camera. I was coming out of a year of really intense personal growth, and for the first time ever, found myself in need of head shots. I found Aaron’s work stunning in the way of a painting— not just depicting its subject, but a complete narrative. Sitting with Aaron for my shoot, it was easy to let my imposter syndrome fall away because he took me seriously and handled me with such care. He’s got a quiet, observant way about him that is so refreshing and calming that I could let my guard down and relax. (He’s also just a kind, down-to-earth, authentic person.) The resulting images are beyond what I could have expected, honestly. Not only did he capture aesthetically beautiful portraits, but he also managed to bring out the inner part of myself that is strong, embodied, and worthy of being taken seriously. I didn’t expect to see this in my portraits, to be honest, which tells me I still have some self-work to do. But I am so grateful to Aaron and his incredible artistry for showing me, through his work, my own power. Thank you Aaron.

I had a photoshoot with Aaron in 2019 and it has been one of the most incredible photographic experiences I've had. I am also a photographer, and I needed to get images for my social media and my website. To say that I loved my photos it's an understatement. LA has a so much hidden and unexposed talent. But even more so, it has a lot of posers. People pretending to do something well. And they don’t. But when you look at Aarons photography you know he is the real deal. So when you are in his studio he is chill and there is quiet confidence working. Why? Because Aaron isn’t posing as a photographer, he is one. A very good one. I was so comfortable and relaxed and when doing a photoshoot those are two things I usually am not, but Aaron’s energy is so positive it’s hard not reciprocate that same vibe. There was a moment in the middle of my shoot where Aaron simply said, “should we put in a dress” and I said “sure, why not?” I had so many selects to choose from deciding was so hard because I truly loved them all. Aaron is a professional, he delivers, and you will be just like me; struggling to decide from countless images that portray your authentic self. That’s true talent if you ask me.

My business partner and I just recently started our own company and we wanted our headshots to be unique, artistic, and professional. Having seen Aaron's work previously it was an obvious choice for us. For two people that feel really awkward in front of cameras we were worried about how we would fare during the shoot. The day of the shoot Aaron made us both feel really comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera. He was very encouraging and showed us our progress along the way to keep our excitement up. We will certainly be returning for future portraits as our company grows!

I was really nervous about a photo shoot, as I have "performance anxiety" and hate when things are really staged. Aaron made me feel extremely comfortable. I felt myself relaxing right away, and I was able to get some really natural shots. I loved the cool, laid-back settings for my photos, which really made them feel unique, rather than just typical headshots. I did find the selection process a bit rushed, but when I shared my concerns with Aaron, he was totally flexible and let me pick additional photos. A great experience!!
