We have been with SwimRight since we moved to LA 3 years ago. This has been a great experience through and through. Their course is very organized and they give a lot of attention to water safety. The coaches are attentive, friendly and fun. They ensure the children learn the right techniques to stay safe in the water and while swimming.

My daughter has been attending Streamliners since August 1, 2024. She started with the Splashers level in September 2023, and during that time, she had four incredible instructors who inspired her with courage and enthusiasm to pursue swimming. Unfortunately, one of these instructors left the academy, and the other three had no lessons available for the next levels. Given the trust and confidence we had built with SwimRight, we were open to transitioning to a new instructor and chose Symieon. From the start, my daughter, who is usually adaptable to new situations, expressed concerns about Symieon’s teaching methods and communication style. Initially, we dismissed her complaints, which we now deeply regret. Over time, it became evident that her concerns were valid. Symieon lacked preparation and consistency. He never referred to her progress book and repeatedly reviewed skills she had already mastered and received completion stickers for, instead of building on her progress. There was no structured plan or continuity between lessons to ensure proficiency before moving on to new skills. When I addressed these issues directly with him, his response was to suggest private lessons instead of addressing the inefficiencies within the group classes. Trusting his advice, I enrolled my daughter in two private lessons to focus on the remaining skills. Disappointingly, a significant portion of those sessions was spent reviewing skills she had already mastered. When I raised my concerns, I was met with a dismissive and sarcastic attitude, with him stating, "This is my teaching style." Carlos, the head instructor, intervened but offered no meaningful resolution. Instead, he simply suggested switching instructors without investigating or addressing the root cause of the issues. When I proposed that he implement daily progress reports from instructors to monitor training paths and identify problems early, he dismissed the idea as unmanageable due to the number of students. This response felt both unreasonable and unprofessional. When I reached out to the front desk for support, they offered courtesy tokens to address the unfinished skills. While appreciated, this solution had significant limitations and failed to resolve the systemic issues we faced. This experience has been profoundly frustrating and disappointing. What began as a promising start to my daughter’s swimming journey has turned into an uphill battle against poor management and lack of accountability. I hope this feedback prompts the academy to take meaningful action to improve their processes and prioritize the educational experience of their students.

My six-year-old goes to this swim school. He’s been to six classes So far - he does the group classes (which they keep small ) and we are all really enjoying it. We love his teacher and we are seeing progress in his skills and adaptability to the water. Thank you so much for helping our son achieve his swimming goals. We will be going here for a long time to come.!
